Geometry house by Lars
For math this week we made geometry houses. We made them to practice geometry. We wrote a paragragh. We made all kinds of houses. I made a balloon house my friend. Nate made a flash drive house. I thought it was very cool. We mounted them on pieces of paper. Also were naming them. I named mine bacon. If you want see more come to Terra Linda.

Creating houses using geometry is a fun - and very practical - idea! After reading your post, Lars, I am seeing so many more geometrical shapes all around me! My desk, the pencil cup, the ceiling, the carpet even has shapes and patterns! Looking out the window, the first thing I notice is that the trees (at least those I can see) are not geometric, although I can see some patterns. Very interesting contrast between what we build and what is in Nature.
