Lewis and Clark book
This is the Lewis and Clark book our class made. The first one is Emma's than Reagan's ,Kate's ,and maddie's. I enjoyed this because I like doing research projects.
1st grade buddies
Last week our whole class went down to meet our little buddies. We made valentines animals. Our buddies are in 1st grade and are from Ms. Schroeder's classroom. Everyone was excited about going down to see our buddies. The first thing we did when we got down there was find our buddies....... Sadly mine wasn't there so I went with Reagan's buddy; Gracie short for Grace. Ms Schroeder showed us some of examples of valentines. (Below are some examples) It was fun and hard. Normally it wouldn't be hard because your just cutting out animals with construction paper. But you had to use all valentines stuff..... Like hearts! We made a bird altogether because Gracie wanted to and it had a bunch of different parts to glue together so we were multi-tasking. What we did was cut out a heart for the body, then we cut out another heart for the head, beak, feet and eyeballs were the body parts we cut out. There were cut out pieces on one table and on the other table were just pieces of colored papers. At the tables there was glue, scissors, and writing utensils that we could use. Everyone was having a good time with their buddies, the big buddies were helping the little kids, little kids were cutting out pieces of different animals. I think that everyone was having fun making animals. A lot of kids made very cute animals! We were all having fun, but then Ms. Shick and Ms. Schroeder told us it was time to go. Even though we had to go we said goodbye to our buddies, and a lot of us can't wait until the next time we see again.
Oregon Trail portraits
In the Oregon trail unit we have done many activities along the way but one of the best ones would be drawing our trail family's portraits. We had to draw our trail family, our live stock, and our wagon. For me it was the best project because I personally like to draw. I don't think any of them were bad because they were all very good and pretty. They had to be detailed and colored nicely. We get an amount of points that we move along the trail. If we do a very good job then the most points we an get is 20 points. That 20 points goes on so that we move along the trail and do more activities and faits. Faits are bad and good but mostly bad things that happen yo you along the trail. Sometimes we write in journals and that is 10 points at most. Also we sometimes have to make decisions about what trail should we take, do we want to trade with Native Americans, and should we get more water and go of the trail? Those are all things or activities that are very fun along the Oregon trail.

Summer project
Hi guys....... Have you seen everyone's summer projects? I'm pretty sure that you took a lot of time working on that project. They are really awesome! I wish I could go to all these places! Did you have fun? The most fun thing I did was going camping and going to Bend and Seattle, but I did not write about that. I wrote about figure skating.I learned a lot of cool jumps and spins. For example I learned how to do a jump called Lutz and a spin called front back scratch spin combo. Have you learned anything from your trip?.......I can see by looking at your summer project that you really had fun!! I had a really great summer too. I hope you will enjoy your rest of your school year and continue getting to know your new teacher.
